Speaking at an event held in Samsun on the occasion of May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, President Erdoğan said: “The wave of attacks in security and economy has not ended yet. We foil one by one the traps set against our country both at home and abroad and renew our resolve for a stronger future.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the celebrations held in Samsun to mark the 100thanniversary of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s arrival in Samsun and the start of Turkey’s national struggle.
Noting that the Turkish nation dates back thousands of years, President Erdoğan underlined that there is no disgrace of genocide or colonialism in its track record.
Stating that the incidents that have taken place in the past six years have pushed Turkey to allocate its energy and resources to the solution of crises, President Erdoğan stressed that Turkey, nonetheless, remains committed to its goals for 2023, the centenary of the proclamation of the Republic of Turkey.
“The wave of attacks in security and economy has not ended yet. We foil one by one the traps set against our country both at home and abroad and renew our resolve for a stronger future,” President Erdoğan underscored, adding that the underlying cause of the smear campaign targeting Turkey in the international arena is the Turkish nation’s determination to maintain its one-thousand-year presence in its geography.
