Taliban kill 20 Afghan forces in Badghis

At least 20 Afghan security force members were killed and 10 others were injured in a Taliban militant’s attack on an army base in northwestern Badghis Province of Afghanistan.

Abdul Aziz Bek, head of Badghis provincial council, says Taliban has launched the attacks on an army base in Bala Murghab District of the province at last midnight and took 28 other security force members with them following the clash.

 Meanwhile, local officials in Badghis confirm that the Taliban have inflicted heavy casualties on the government forces, but did not provide an exact detail about the casualties. Taliban has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
